The four stages of your awareness

No, this article isn’t about your physiological brainwave stages, it is on the basic stages that your awareness passes through especially in relation to loving, connecting and learning, of any reality.

If you want to be a powerful reality creator then you should first understand these basic stages.

The four stages of awareness

  • Don’t know that don’t know.
  • Know that don’t know.
  • Know that know.
  • Don’t know that know.

Don’t know that you don’t know – This is the level of unconscious of being unconscious, totally unaware of the reality, it didn’t came into your attention you are busy with other realities. There is a reality that you don’t know about it, and because you are thinking on your current reality then you also don’t know that you don’t know about it, Unconscious of disconnection.

For example: you play tennis and there is another reality of playing guitar, you do not know the reality of playing guitar, don’t know that you don’t know because your mind is only busy in the tennis playing reality and unaware of the other reality.

Know that you don’t know – This is the level of conscious of being unconscious, were you start approaching a new reality and you know that you don’t know it yet, starting to become aware, Conscious of disconnection.

For example: When you start learning something you realize how much you don’t know about the subject and have to learn. When you start learning guitar you know how much you don’t know and have more to learn. Before starting to study guitar (first stage) you didn’t know that you don’t know.

When you first meet a person, you know that there is so much information that you don’t know about him.

Know that you know – This is the level of conscious of being conscious, were you consciously engage and aware of the other reality. You know that you know it right now, Conscious of connection.

For example: When you are learning something and actually learning, then you know that you know what you have just learned, like when training or practicing the guitar and learn the new skills and practice them, when you engage with another person and you discover new things about him, the conscious learning of him.

Don’t Know that you know – This is the level of unconscious of being conscious, were you unconsciously engage and aware of the other reality. You don’t know that you know it right now, Unconscious of connection.

For example: When you have learned a new skill and it becomes automatic you apply the learning unconsciously from your subconscious mind, like playing the guitar automatically without thinking on how to do it consciously. When you live with another person and you already know so much about him but you don’t consciously think about it.

Driving a car – summery of the four stage

Don’t know that don’t know – You have not started to learn how to drive a car.

Know that you don’t know – You have started learning driving lessons and you see how much you have to learn.

Know that you know – You are learning to drive, it takes your full attention and mental effort to drive and do all the actions at once.

Don’t Know that you know – The car is driving itself, you are an experienced driver and you can do the complex task of driving unconsciously without thinking and with no mental effort, it’s all automatic like riding a bicycle.

Creating our reality

All the four stages are important for appreciating and understanding the human experience, but the last stage is mostly important to understand for creating your reality.

Most of our waking state is habitual and automatic dream like state with some places of choice points for us to consciously choose our path and change our reality in so many endless possibilities.

In the last stage where we don’t know that we know, and operate mostly from the level of our subconscious mind effortlessly and automatically, it feels like realty is actually gifted to us and we simply sail the dream of our reality.

This last stage is the one you want to study carefully if you want to learn to create your reality, a reality of infinite creative expression and beauty running effortlessly and automatically like a dream. This is happiness were you are living in this state, realities that you have chosen and so you love them and enjoy them.

Secret key to create your reality

The last stage of: don’t know that you know, holds a great secret key for creating your reality, so many manifestation and visualization techniques fail to work because they lack the understanding of this secret.

Don’t know that you know, means: don’t know that you have, don’t know that you are happy, don’t know that you are good or feeling good.

I’ll leave it now for you to ponder about it…soon I will open and explain it further.

Row, row, row your boat,

Gently down the stream.

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,

Life is but a dream.

  1. Hi Allen,
Fascinating topic which portents everything when it comes to shaping/co -creating/influencing ( our ) reality.
The “Don’t Know That You Know” stage is the open sesame for freedom and empowerment.
The seeming paradox of that stage is that not knowing YOU have/are happy/are good or feel good dissipates the idea or identification of a You doing anything.
The quality, condition or state of being is embodied, expressed, lived without the sense of a doer or possessor.
Our reality right now reflects what we take ourselves to be.
Freedom seems to be much more letting go what is inherently false than acquiring special qualities or enhancement.
Looking forward to you development of these ideas.
    I appreciate your efforts.

    Robert

    1. Thank you Robert very much for your support!

“Freedom seems to be much more letting go what is inherently false than acquiring special qualities or enhancement.”

Interesting can you explain this statement further?

  2. My first 30 years were primarily spent trying to aggrandize the ego(accomplishment/acquirement) and the last 30 years have seen the incremental but steady demise of the sense of a separate self or doer.
The things that had seemed so important and meaningful began to drop off and greater freedom was experienced.

    1. Thanks I love it…release control over your life and you suddenly feel you start getting ‘control’ over your life its less dense and much more airy…yes I believe we have freedom of choice but we are not the doer we have free will to ask and thing are given.
